Ravda is a small coastal town in Bulgaria, situated in Nesebar municipality, Burgas Province. Ravda is a small seaside resort on the Black Sea, located 3 km from Nesebar and 5 km from Sunny Beach. 30 km from Bourgas airport. Ravda used to be an international centre of children tourism and vacation, and within the last years it is becoming more and more popular among the tourists coming from both Bulgaria and many other European countries.

One year in Bulgaria we had hired a car for the duration of our stay in September, and decided to go for a drive to a little village named White Water.
The cousin of a Bulgarian friend of ours was the Mayor(ess)
So I looked at the map and plotted a route, it didn’t appear to be that far.
We set off at a reasonable time in the morning and headed for Bourgas, I knew we had to turn off right on the other side of Bourgas on the Sozopol road.

We first visited Ravda properly when we had decided to purchase a property on the outskirts of the village on the road to Nesebur.
